Sunny Bank Vale is in the Greenside area of Droylsden.
The main entrances onto Sunny Bank Vale are Greenside Lane – opposite Sunnyside Road, and the Pig on the Wall , Ansdell Drive, Haven Drive and Edge Lane, Droylsden – opposite the entrance to Clayton Vale.
Sunny Bank Vale is a unique area of countryside with a variety of habitats for many of the birds and animals that you would expect to see in wood, wet and meadow land.
Sunny Bank Vale is free to use and enjoy by all members of the community and visitors to the area.
The management of the area is supported by The Friends of Sunny Bank Vale.
The Friends group was formed in July 2011. Members either take an active role in supporting the aims and objectives of making Sunny Bank Vale a pleasant place to be or are interested in the progress that is being made.
Friends of Sunny Bank Vale are supported by Groundwork and Landcare Manchester .
Assistance has also come from Air Products /DH Welton/Carillion/Jewson/ Hadfield and Business in the Community who have completed work free of charge on the Vale, a huge thank you must go to them for their involvement in helping to achieve our aims which are to promote the use of the area by the general public, community groups and Schools.
